Class I and Class II for Consumer Applications

Flexible Printed Circuits are widely used in various consumer products. High packing density, flexibility and thin structure makes it easy for designers to fit complicated circuits into 3-dimensional shapes. Applications like cameras, mobile phone, watches and other hand held devices are good examples of advantages achieved by using FPCs.

Class II and Class III for Industrial, Medical and Military Applications

When high reliability is the main driving factor, Flexible Printed Circuits offer a good alternative to standard solutions by reducing the number of connections, reducing used space and allowing effective thermal design. Multi-layer Rigid-Flex Circuits are used when no compromises are allowed. However, all standard design rules can be used except some minor limitations to IPC 610 standard requirements.
